BY CAR: Driving from motor way A1 Milano- Roma, get out - exit Firenze Signa - and get connection with high way FI-PI-LI (Pisa direction) exit Pontedera. Then follow the sign boards indicating Volterra and you will arrive on the road called S.R. 439.
You drive on the S.R 439 ( Volterra direction ) till km 78,600.
Here is a little road, on the right side, called Pieve dei Pitti, where the Agriturismo Il Selvino is.
Driving from motorway A12 Genova-Livorno, get out - exit to Pisa center - Airport and get connection with high way FI-PI-LI (Florence direction) exit to Pontedera. Then follow instructions as above.
Driving from the high way Firenze - Siena, get out -exit Colle Val D’Elsa – driving on the road called SS 68 following the sign boards indicating Volterra.
Few kilometers before Volterra centre get the connection with the road called ( SR 439 dir ) following the sign boards indicating Pontedera .You drive on the road S.R. 439 ( Pontedera direction ) till km. 78,600.
Here is a little road on the left side, called Pieve dei Pitti, where the Agriturismo Il Selvino is.
BY TRAIN: If you come at Il Selvino by train from Florence or Pisa, we inform you that the nearest station is Pontedera-Casciana Terme. From Pontedera you can take the Bus (direction Volterra) or take a taxi. Pontedera is at about 20 minutes far from Il Selvino. BY PLANE: Out of “Galileo Galilei Airport” in Pisa www.pisa-airport.com , you can take the train directly from the airport direction Florence and get out to Pontedera station. You can also rent a car in one of the cars rentals in the airport.
Out of the “Vespucci Airport” in Florence www.aeroportodifirenze.it , you have to take the bus at the main station in Florence (Firenze S. Maria Novella ) and take the train direction Pisa/Livorno and get out to Pontedera.station. You can also rent a car.
